Games like Jailbreak, for robbers and the cops who chase them

Mad City and Emergency Hamburg are the Roblox games closest to Jailbreak. Off Roblox, GTA V and Payday 2 cover the heists, and The Escapists covers the prison break. Roam heist and car-theft games close the list.

What Jailbreak is

Jailbreak is a Roblox cops-and-robbers game by Badimo, out since 2017. Prisoners break out, rob the bank, the jewelry store and other spots, then race off in fast cars. Police chase them, cuff them and send them back to the cell.

Every round is short: escape, rob, run, get caught or get away. That loop, plus picking a side, is what to look for in an alternative.

On Roblox

Mad City. Schwifty Studios' cops-and-robbers game with heroes and villains on top. Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 both still have players.
Emergency Hamburg. A 2021 roleplay set in a German city. Be police, fire, medic or criminal on one big map.

Not on Roblox

Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar's 2013 open world. Robberies, police chases and online heists with friends.
Payday 2. Overkill's 2013 co-op heist shooter. Plan the job, crack the vault, survive the police waves.
The Escapists. Mouldy Toof's 2015 prison-escape sim from Team17. Craft tools, dig tunnels, slip past guards.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered. The 2020 remaster of the cops-versus-racers game. Pick a side and chase or run.

Roam heist and escape games

No Roam game copies Jailbreak, but these cover its three parts: the escape, the robbery and the car.

Teaspoon Jailbreak (Roam). A first-person prison escape. A cell, a rug and a teaspoon.
Vault Breaker (Roam). A voxel bank heist: hammer in hand, vault ahead.
Steal Every Car (Roam). A top-down car-theft sandbox. If it has wheels, it can be yours.
