Last Day on Earth: Survival is a zombie survival game by Kefir!, released in 2017. You start with nothing in a world after a virus outbreak. You cut trees, break rocks and loot houses for parts, then craft weapons, build a base and defend it. Further zones have better loot and worse zombies.
The hook is the walk home with a full backpack, hoping nothing finds you on the way.

Tips for scavenging survival games
Spend early resources on storage and a crafting bench before walls. You cannot build a good base without space and tools.
Plan short trips. Go out with an empty bag, grab the items you need for one build and come back. Long trips end with you dead and your gear on the floor far from home.
