Games like aquapark.io: more slides, more shoving

If your kid loves aquapark.io, the closest picks are Uphill Rush Water Park Racing and party racers like Stumble Guys. Roam also has four slide racers built on the same idea: one giant slide, a crowd of racers, and a lot of pushing.

What aquapark.io is

Aquapark.io is a mobile racing game by Voodoo, released in 2019. You ride down a long water slide with a pack of rivals. You can cut corners by flying off the edge and landing lower down, and you can bump other riders off the slide.

Runs are short and the controls are one finger, which is why it works for young kids. It later came to Nintendo Switch and Xbox too.

Real water slide and party racers

Uphill Rush Water Park Racing. Spil Games' water park racer from 2017. Slides, tricks and races against other riders, with a lot of unlockable gear.
Stumble Guys. A free knockout party game on phones. Not water, but the same mix of racing and bumping into other players.
Fall Guys. Mediatonic's bean races with slime, slides and spinning bars. Free to play on consoles and PC.

What makes a good slide game for kids

Short rounds, one-finger steering and clear wins. A race that ends in under a minute keeps younger players happy, and a podium at the end feels good even when they come third.

Check for chat and ads before you hand the phone over. Many slide racers show an ad after every round, and some offer a one-time purchase to remove them.

Roam slide racers

Roam is a free iPhone app. These four are built around racing down a slide.

Aqua Rush. One giant slide, a pile of jelly racers, and only the top three count.
Surf Rider. Six surfers on one river. First to the flag wins.
Flume Fiend. Lean into every curve and stay in the tube. Fly out and you lose your place.
Pengu Plunge. Eight penguins, one icy slide and no brakes.
