What Cut the Rope is

Cut the Rope is a physics puzzle game by ZeptoLab, released in 2010. A candy hangs from ropes. You cut them in the right order so it swings past spikes, grabs three stars and drops into the mouth of Om Nom, a small green monster. Air cushions, bubbles and teleports show up in later levels.

The series kept going. Cut the Rope 3 came to Apple Arcade in October 2023, made with Paladin Studios.

Tips for snip-and-drop puzzles

Watch the swing before you cut. Most levels have one moment where the candy, or the ball, is moving the right way, and the cut has to happen then. Collect stars on the way down, not on the way up. If a level feels impossible, the first cut is usually the wrong one.
