Games like Angry Birds: pull back, aim, knock it down

Bad Piggies, Crush the Castle and Worms are the games to try after Angry Birds. Each keeps the aim-and-fire physics but changes what you build, throw or blow up. Roam launch games are at the end.

How Angry Birds works

Angry Birds is a slingshot physics game by Finnish studio Rovio Entertainment, released on iPhone in December 2009. You fling birds at towers of wood, glass and stone to knock out the green pigs hiding inside. Each bird has a power: split into three, speed up, drop an egg, explode.

Three stars ask for the fewest birds. Sega bought Rovio in 2023, and Angry Birds 2 is the main version on phones now. Angry Birds Reloaded is on Apple Arcade.

Same idea, different twist

Tips for a perfect shot

Aim low at the supports, not at the pigs. A tower falls into itself when its base breaks. Glass breaks fast, stone needs weight, and wood is best for chain reactions. Watch the first shot's path: in most of these games the arc is the same every time, so a small change in pull gives a big change in landing.
