How The Exit 8 plays
The Exit 8 is a short walking game by KOTAKE CREATE, released in 2023. You walk the same subway corridor again and again. If you spot an anomaly, turn back. If nothing is wrong, keep walking. Get it right eight times and you reach Exit 8.
A film adaptation reached US cinemas in April 2026, which brought a lot of new players to the genre.

Tips for anomaly games
Learn the normal version first. Walk the first loop slowly and look at everything: posters, doors, lights, people. Most mistakes come from not knowing what normal looked like.
Listen as well as look. Many anomalies are sounds. And when you are not sure, turn back: in most of these games, a wrong turn costs less than walking past a real anomaly.
