Games like Five Nights at Freddy's
I'm on Observation Duty and That's Not My Neighbor are the best games like FNAF outside the series. They keep the same job: watch, check and survive the shift. Roam has night-shift games for iPhone where the goal is 6 AM.
What makes FNAF scary
Five Nights at Freddy's was created by Scott Cawthon and released in 2014. You are a night guard. You watch cameras and manage doors and power while animatronics move toward your office. A second film came out in December 2025.
The fear comes from limits. You cannot leave, power runs out, and checking one camera means not watching another.
Night-shift and watch-the-room games
Some of these keep you in one room like the first FNAF. Others let you walk around but keep the same rule: watch carefully, or the shift ends early.
- The FNAF series itself. There are many sequels and spin-offs, from Sister Location to the free-roam Security Breach by Steel Wool. The early games are on phones too.
- I'm on Observation Duty. Watch security cameras all night and report anything that changed.
- That's Not My Neighbor. Nacho Sama's door-guard game from 2024. Check every visitor and do not let the fakes in.
- Poppy Playtime. Toy-factory horror with a mascot that hunts you. More running, less sitting.
