Games like Fireboy and Watergirl for two players

Pico Park, It Takes Two and Biped are the best picks after Fireboy and Watergirl. Each needs two people working together, and each fails if one of you rushes ahead. Roam co-op puzzle games are at the end.

The idea behind Fireboy and Watergirl

Fireboy and Watergirl is a two-player puzzle platformer series by Oslo Albet, started in 2009 with The Forest Temple. Two players share one keyboard. Fireboy dies in water, Watergirl dies in lava, and both die in green goo.

You press switches, push blocks and hold platforms for each other until both reach their doors. The rule is simple: neither can win alone. Good alternatives make each player matter in a different way.
