What Chained Together is
Chained Together is a co-op climbing game by Anegar Games, released on Steam in June 2024. Up to four players are chained to each other and must climb out of hell. If one person falls, the chain drags everyone down with them.
It is a PC game. Phone stores have copycats with similar names that are not made by Anegar Games.
Climbing games like Chained Together
Only Up! was the big climbing hit of 2023, but its developer pulled it from Steam that September. People who own it can still play, but new players cannot buy it, so it is not on the list below.
- PEAK. Aggro Crab and Landfall's 2025 climb for up to four friends. Manage stamina, place ropes and pull each other up. It came to PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2 in October 2026.
- Human Fall Flat. No Brakes Games' floppy physics puzzler. Climb, grab and swing through dream levels with up to eight players online.
- Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy. A man in a pot climbs a mountain with a hammer. Solo only, and one slip can cost an hour.
- Jump King. Nexile's careful jump climb. Every bad jump can drop you back several screens.
- Heave Ho. Le Cartel's party climber. Grab a friend's hand and swing across the gap.
How to survive a chained climb
Agree on who moves first. On hard jumps, climb one at a time while the others stand still on solid ground. Call out before you jump. And laugh when it goes wrong, because it will.
