Marvel Rivals is the closest game to Overwatch right now: hero teams fighting on objective maps. Valorant and Team Fortress 2 are the other big team hero shooters on PC. On phones, Brawl Stars and Pokémon Unite give the same pick-a-role feel.

Overwatch, then Overwatch 2, then Overwatch again

Overwatch is Blizzard's team hero shooter, released in 2016. Each hero has a role, tank, damage or support, a few abilities and an ultimate. Teams push a payload, capture points or hold an area.

In 2022 it became Overwatch 2, went free to play and switched to 5v5. In February 2026 Blizzard dropped the 2 from the name and started a new Season 1. It is still free, on PC and consoles.
