Games like Teardown where every wall can come down

Instruments of Destruction, BeamNG.drive and Red Faction: Guerrilla are the games to play after Teardown. Each one is built around physics that let you break things for real. On a phone, Roam has voxel demolition puzzles and city smashers.

What makes Teardown different

Teardown is a voxel heist and destruction game by Tuxedo Labs. It entered early access in 2020 and fully released in 2022. Every building is made of small voxels, so a wall breaks where you hit it, not where a designer allowed.

Heist levels give the destruction a purpose. You set up the route first by knocking holes, placing ramps and parking cars, then grab the targets once the alarm starts and race the clock. There is also a sandbox mode and a big mod workshop.

Destruction games to try

Three ways to enjoy a destruction game

Plan, then break: Teardown rewards you for cutting a path before the timer starts. Engineer it: Besiege and Instruments of Destruction are about building the machine that does the breaking. Just watch it fall: BeamNG and Smash Hit are about the moment of impact.

Knowing which of the three you like makes the next pick easy.

More on Roam

Make your own destruction game with Roam

Pick what you smash and what you smash it with. Roam builds the level, and you add more buildings or a timer by asking.

Try: "voxel demolition game in my school, wrecking ball and dynamite, 60 seconds to knock down the gym, friends can race me"
